Common Quick Clickfree Fixes
Ensure your Clickfree is up-to-date (by performing an update from options > update)
Unplug your Clickfree from USB, power off your Clickfree, and reboot your computer. Power on and plug your Clickfree into a different USB port, preferably a USB port located at the back of your computer. If you have an extra USB cable, try connecting your Clickfree using a different USB cable as well.
Temporarily disable any antivirus software and security software that you may have running in the background.
Ensure you have administrator rights to the computer.
Try using your Clickfree on another computer to see if the same problem occurs.
It's important to keep your Clickfree software up to date for new enhancements and optimal performance.
Ensure your Clickfree software is up-to-date:
Unplug the Clickfree from USB
Reboot your computer. Wait for your computer to finish starting up.
Using your keyboard, press Windows key + E at the same time to open Computer/My Computer
Plug your Clickfree into USB
You’ll notice the drive named Clickfree_System appear. At this time,
the Clickfree software may automatically launch. If the software
doesn’t launch automatically, right-click on Clickfree_System and select: Start Clickfree Backup
The Clickfree software will launch, and a countdown will begin. Before the countdown reaches 0, click on the Options
button. (If the Clickfree reaches 0, a backup will begin. If that
occurs, simply cancel the backup, exit the Clickfree software, and start
from step 5)
Select the Tools tab
Click on the Update button
If your Clickfree is out of date, an update will begin. Otherwise,
the Clickfree software will state your Clickfree is up-to-date.
